Diurnal Motion as a Basis for Spiritual Growth
This class is based on the idea that we lose a lot of astrological information when we conflate signs and houses, as they are actually two very different symbolic frames of reference. Houses are far more individual than signs, and so planets in houses represent how we can best revolve (and evolve) around own internal axis, as opposed to becoming mesmerized by whatever seems to be happening out there.

Joe Landwehr began teaching himself astrology in the summer of 1971. While living in an ashram in southern California from 1973 – 1976, practicing and teaching kundalini yoga and meditation, he began reading charts professionally. In 1975, Joe obtained a Master’s degree in Marriage, Family and Child Counseling, and began integrating yogic philosophy and western psychology into his astrological practice.
Upon leaving the ashram in 1977, Joe moved to Florida, and continued to study, write and teach, receiving certification as a professional astrologer from PAI (Professional Astrologers, Inc.) after passing their competency exam. In 1978, I was introduced to the teachings of Swami Muktananda, and began to supplement my knowledge of kundalini yoga with the theory and practice of Siddha yoga.
